“Desigual inspired by Cirque du Soleil” Presentation in Barcelona

Last Friday we took by assault the premiere of the latest show by Cirque du Soleil in Barcelona to present to the press and bloggers the new collection Desigual inspired by Cirque du Soleil from Rainbow Collection (Fall Winter 2012). And in the evening, we present to the public the New and Good collection (Spring Summer 2012).

Amazing Make up job.

The models in the tent, where we set a "sweded" backstage..

While in the Tapis Rouge (which incidentally, was blue) we assemble the stage….

… where the press will see the joint press conference Desigual / Cirque du Soleil.

While developing the conversation with the press….

… 2 ninjas help the models to pose for the product.

And the photographers flash them with their shoots.

The artists who collaborated in the presentation are the Company Par Alleles and the group Kulbik. Thank you for your help!

Soon we will reveal other colalborations: Disney, Michael Jackson … But that’s another story.

A very funny experience for the wokers involved.

Said and done. Once decided we’ll be the stars of the calendar, we recruited volunteers in all the company’s departaments. And we got many interested in only 2 days. So we helped ourselves with a draw to make this difficult decision for us. This is how we got a team of 12 together to become models for a day

But… How were these pictures going to be? And what about the theme? We decidedsuggested that each participant recreate their passion to get their best picture. A scene was thought and designed for the occasion and at the service of this passion. Props, wardrobe, make up, hairdressing… a real fashion production. Definitely a good move. We now have 12 amazing pictures from where our colleagues touch us with their passions.

We hope you’ll be touched too!

Its Sale time at last! But even those of you who are self confessed shopaholics might break a sweat at the thought of hitting the shops right now. Some people out there have a real love affair with sale shopping, and it always seems to end on a sweet note. Don’t match this description? FEAR NOT. This year, follow these tips and you will bag some star worthy outfits at deeply discounted prices. In this economy it really doesn’t hurt to keep a few pennies in your pocket whilst making a good investment so take serious note of THE sale survival guide:

Make Desigual your first stop. Aimless wandering is a no no. You’ll feel like you’ve bagged bargains before you even get to your favourite store AND you’ll have spent the GDP of a small country on random pieces. Have an action plan of which shops you are gonna hit up, and a list of must have pieces that will work for years to come.

Remember day one of Sales it’s a mad jungle out there but the early bird does catch the worm… So for bargains and ones in the right size, get there early. Yes we’ve all been there trying to squeeze into a size too small or convince ourselves ‘the to die for’ Jacket in one size bigger looks just as fashionable loose. Don’t do it. Just set your alarm.

Make sure you know what you want. Leave it a bit late and you will get further discounts, but you may risk missing out because someone else beat you to it. Being arrested for fighting over a jumper is really not the aim of the game. Don’t forget to stop for lunch. Sale shopping is hard work. When you are hungry the passion for fashion can be killed off a bit. Before you start picking fashion wildcards. EAT.

Last but not least, if you think heading into a warzone is a better option… Don’t despair find your bargains online. Let Desigual.com seduce you into making some sale purchases from the comfort of your home.

Seville is not the same

As you know, we have new store in Seville, Sierpes street. Now we have told the welcoming party, but we still didn’t share the photos of the guests, you, with everybody. We enjoyed the feast with you and we expect you tomorrow to “Enter half-naked, and leave out fully dressed” and of course the rest of days of the year.

Remember that in this new shop in the street Sierpes 81, you will find our collection of Women, Men and Kids.

But, watch on, the news still in Seville. Tomorrow, on this store, you can “Enter half-naked, and leave out fully dressed“. They were very, very on time at Madrid, so, pull yourself together if you want to be in the top 100.

A Letter to the Three Kings

Dear Three Kings*

For 2012 I have a list of things I’d love to get. Could you give me a hand as I’m not quite sure who to ask or how to get them.

I would like to:

Know how to close my eyes and be able to see things from a different perspective when I open them again.
Fall in love again, even if it’s not forever.

Help someone out and have it work out, rather than going tits up, which seems to happen a lot.
Remember to watch the sunset and full moon. Seeing the dawn would therefore be more difficult.
Find the key to open some doors.

Be myself all the time, because at the end of the day, I’m pretty cool.
Look people in the eye when I’m talking, and for them to look at me, not their mobile.

Learn how to make a great Spanish omelette.
Wake up in a world that’s happier than when I went to bed, and not the other way round.

*In Spain, the Three Wise Men, or the Three Kings, bring us the Xmas presents, instead of Santa Claus.
